As you know, he was hurt. That's in 41 ABs. He's a good looking prospect though.

Yah, pretty solid.

Huge out for Garland there. Blalock could have put us in a lot of trouble.

Garland with 43 pitches through 3.

The AL west should be interesting to watch this year. Who knows how it ends up, but I bet it's close to a 3 team race.

My main question is how the Garland apologists can defend a 6+ era now that its June?

Just wondering.

Jon's battling right now, and he's going to give up a few big hits.

But if he can get the important outs like right there, he can still keep us in this ballgame.

Garland just has no chance against these hitters of keeping them down. For a sinker ball pitcher, he throws way too many pitches up in the zone.

I have noticed a change in his approach tonite, yes he's leaving too much up but he's making a conscious effort to bust these guys on the hands ... which is a good thing. He just cannot make mistakes against this team though. He almost needs to pitch and locate perfectly, he hasn't been pitching that well combined with these guys being good hitters. He definitely can't walk guys.

He has escaped now, but you know as well as everyone here the chances of Garland holding the Rangers at 2 runs is practically impossible.

Garland is best early in games. As we've seen in recent starts, several times through the lineup players eventually catch onto him.

So much for some of the momentum Cleveland had from beating us 3 in a row. Losing 9-0 to the Halos tonight.

By catching onto him, he means they kick the living crap out of him.

I always thought his change-up was more effective when he'd use it against righties (goes against textbook baseball). Garland gets burned on his changeup more than any other pitch, which is unacceptable for a sinker baller.

So far this season, from pitch count 16-30 Jon has a 9.64 ERA, and then from 31-45 a 4.00 ERA. Once he reaches 76 pitches though, the ERA goes right back up there though.

So hopefully he can settle down for the next couple of innings, because this season pitch count wise, this is where he's had success.

How about scoring some runs off of this guy.

Let's go.

Yes. And by that time, we can hear " Atleast Garland pitched well for 5 innings. Just got away from him in the 6th."

Pods has been struggling when he hasn't been walking recently. He's something like 1 for his last 14.

RISP for AJ.

Nice swing by Iguchi....we need AJP to get it going with RISP.

Does Hawk call for any ball hit within 30 feet of the fence to GET ON BACK THERE?

He's really starting to irk me with that.

HEY! A MOTHER f***ING HIT!

OH NOES! AJ with a RISP, inning over.

Didn't he have a few walks the other night?
