I can't stand this station. I pray to God that the Sox get out of their contract with them. I miss every single Sox game on this station because I don't live in Chicago.

Where do you live... The White Sox and The Score have other radio affiliates in Illinois that carry the games.

can't catch games when on ciu either. not big on listening to games on radio, either, unless i'm travelling, for some odd reason. station has a weird, annoying ring to it anyway when i try listening on the radio in my room...

Yeah, seeing as how I will probably never leave Champaign (hopefully sarcastic) games on WCIU are very bothersome.

 

And actually, the Score does not come in all that well on campus at the University of Illinois. Go a mile off campus in either direction and the station is great, but on campus it is very hit or miss.

Yes, I have Comcast. I was flipping through the channels this morning and stopped on 203 which happened to be ESPN2HD. Quite awesome.

I love WCIU.

 

Only channel that I get that's really clear on T.V. for me..

Yup, just came out today on Comcast...

The odd thing is, the message showed up on the box at like 4 o'clock today though the channel showed up early in the morning.

I don't mind WCIU right now since they are the only damned station with what seems to be an accurate radar gun for pitch speeds....

The funny thing is when the broadcast started, DJ said "this game in HD on WCIU is brought to you by Comcast". Not in my area! Very stoked for ESPN2HD though

i go to ISU as well and I hate when the sox play on the U cause we dont get it in the dorms.....

I hate the U as well. These are the only games that I don't get. I usually end up listening to it over the net.

Hey, long time poster at the other site, but I recently ran into a mod with a power trip. I'm the only one with the balls to call him out apparently, so he flipped? Not too sure, I'll find out in a month. The other place is my first choice, but it's nice to come here and be able to let loose.

 

Anyways, WCIU sucks, but I have to say I dislike WGN more. How many times can you come back from commercial break with a 1-1 count?!

Nice. I got Comcast as well and just checked 203 right after I read your post. Sure enough, ESPN2HD is there. The more HD the better.

Just want to say welcome aboard. Secondly, if you think WCIU or WGN are bad, you'd have hated to be watching the Texas feed on xtra innings today, most of the time it was 1-2 (if not all of the time) by the time the game came back on.

 

Still, you guys are lucky since you have HD. It sucks for fans out where I am, we live in a huge market (LA market) yet none of the teams have HD broadcasts (Lakers, Dodgers, Clippers, Kings, Ducks, Angels....NONE).
