If anything good came out of that AB, he ran up Sabathia's pitch count. We need to get him out of there. When CC's on, as he is now, he's very tough.

 

Exactly my point. He ran him up to about 10 pitches. He looked foolish on the third strike but he took a lot of bad pitches and fouled off some good ones. He needs to keep doing that kind of thing. He needs to battle good pitching and be disciplined. As far as I could see, CC didn't make any mistakes so I give Brain a C+ for that AB. He would get an A had he put the ball in play... even if it was an out.
