it does seem like widge catches some awful games.

And it also seems he catches good ones as well. He caught Buehrle's 1:30 shut out last yr and the pitchers don't have a problem throwing to him. Christ, a pitcher has some bad luck and people wish to throw Widge right under the bus cuz it's all his fault. :headshake

f***ing Widge is worthless today. Killed a rally with a GIDP, Ks, and leaves 2 men on again. And calling a crap game as usual.

Just awful. Why isn't Juan hitting in front of Widge? I guess you don't want three auto outs, and the worst hitter in the majors, right in a row.

Widger is having a huge game today.

STOP STRANDING RUNNERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

pretty non-exciting game so far. as long as we get the win i will be happy. but 2out of 3 against anybody and everybody doesn't bother me.

Call up Stewart this year.

Widger is calling a terrible game, period. And this isnt an isolated incident this year. He has sucked basically all year long.

That was last year. Last year Politte was unstopable. Baseball is a year to year game. You can count the number of good starts with Widger behind the dish on your hand this year.

Do you think he calls a good game, by setting up on the outside corner and not moving.

Check out his CERA this year. He's been awful at mixing up the location.

Guy is appraoching 90 pitches and has given up 2 hits in the inning. At least take a pitch or 2.

No way Widge goes to AAA. If they feel the need to replace him, he'll probably just be cut altogether.

wow, Chris Singleton just announced the single-least excited double-play call in the history of baseball broadcasting.

I think we know the answer to that one. This is one of the worst starts of the year by any of our pitchers, all things considered.

LOL

For real. It's almost like he was disappointed that it occurred.

I totally agree. That was a pretty big double play and Chris announced it like the score was 20 to 2.

I wouldnt go that far. There have been too many Judy and Vazquez blow ups this year for Contreras to take that cake.

Just logged on and trying to follow the game on MLB gameday from my work computer. It is slower than molasses
