June 30, 200619 yr i missed innings 2 through 8... looks like john settled down and started pitching better... and since uribe was on a cold streak for like almost 3 months... he will have to be hot for the rest of the season right. i'm pretty sure thats how it works

June 30, 200619 yr Its real simple. Jon throws strike one and lets his sinker work he is a good pitcher, when he gets behind everyone he gets rocked. Hopefully it clicks for him for the rest of the year. Throw strikes let that defense work for you. Nice win

Even if I thought he was dogging it, I'd rather see him dog it and give up a single than to dive and miss, turning a single into a triple.

June 30, 200619 yr Great win, great game by Juan. I think that, while one start doesn't mean THAT much, tomorrow is a referendum of sorts on Javy Vazquez for Sox fans. Given the marketplace, if he can't get it going we could move him for a set-up man and a top pitching prospect. He needs to show some stones tomorrow. We can't really use Brandon tomorrow so he better go some innings too
