Has anyone talked about who to bring up if Thome is out for a while? My guess would be Sweeney for RF, and Dye to DH. Sweeney might not play everyday, Mack would see some RF. But Sweeney could get a lot of AB's.

I thought it was even more interesting, because when Gload PH it was leading off an inning. I still think Ozzie is making the call.

This would have been a nice time to bring Thornton into the game, and see if he can give you 2 strong innings.

How, 9 runners LOB in the last 4 innings. This doesn't look good, even with a 3 run lead. If the Sox are going to lose, I'd rather it be decided early rather than a heartbreak in the late innings. This game is still too slippery, and I don't have a good feeling, somehow.

He's found a couple more MPH the last couple innings, but he's having a tough time getting it close to the plate. 91 used to be nice and easy for him.

Garcia is throwing some great pitches to hit this inning for the Tigers. It will be a minor miracle if Guillen gets out.

Terrible reaction time by Pods...what a shocker. If Ozzie has Thornton warming up, why didn't he bring him in to face Guillen?

Obviously getting hit by a ball thrown by Pods will not hurt.

Does Pods have more errors in the 2nd half of this season than he does steals?
