I still think that pods sucking so much this year is still having an adverse effect on gooch because its been much different situations this year than last for him. Plus there's ALOT of pressure when pods continues not to get on first and makes an out.

And of course, the fact that Pods is not on base and when he is on base is not a base stealing threat cuts down on the number of fastballs that Iguchi sees compared to last year.

I heard Phil Rogers say today, and he was a little surprised Anderson wasn't playing, that he believes the reason he's sitting, is that he needs the rest since most of his career has been injury riddled.
