One quick observation about Gooch on the bases. I noticed he carries his gloves in his left hand when on base. Wouldn't you want to carry them in your right hand so you don't jam you right fingers.

He's staying in so I guess thats a good sign. That said, if we hold the lead another inning or two I think he'll get taken out in favor for Sweeney (so he'll probably only play another inning at the most).

 

Honestly I'd probably have pulled him already, that said I understand no game is over and at this point the last thing the Sox can afford to do is risk giving up any game.
