It's October 12th, and there is enough snow at NIU to see white roofs all over the place. On October 12th. You gotta be effin kidding me, I can't even remember the last time I saw snow in October, let alone on the 12th.

Us northern states have been babied for the most part in recent years with mild snows. It used to be common to have snow in October a long time ago, times have changed though.

It got over 100 here yesterday and it's over a month and a half til Summer.

 

Needless to say, we're gettin the El Nino Effect.

My wife said they said on the news that it was the earliest measurable snow ever in Chicago. 3/10 of an inch.
