The stolen base project due by finals week was a third of his grade.

These grades are not very impressive ,you probably should have thought about them a bit more before you let everybody know.But atleast you have put forth more effort in typing than I have.

Your starting pitcher grades confuse me, especially Jon and Freddy who should be closer to C's and D's respectively.

No way AJP gets anything above a C this year. His defense/pitch-calling was mediocre.

I wouldn't give the 2006 White Sox a F as we didn't finish in last place. I would give a D+ mainly because we were doing pretty good the first half of the season prior to the 2nd half flop.

 

Hopefully we can get things in order for 2007.

I don't get the low grades you guys are giving for some of the bullpen guys (MacDougal and Thornton were pretty darn good), and the bench (who mostly did quite well). So here are my bullpen and bench grades...

McCarthy C*** (I think some of his failures were due to his being in the bullpen at all)

Mack B*** (you cannot blame him for being put in CF every third game - that's on Ozzie)

Alomar D+ (would be an F, if not for his work with the staff)

Our bullpen is very underrated by our own fans.

 

McCarthy sucked, but he wasn't a complete failure. Cotts did have some good stretches early on. MacDougall was very good, Thornton led the team in ERA and pretty much all of his hits were shattered bat bloopers, and Riske was a good pickup as well.

I understand the F part, but I have a hard time givng an F to the whole team. Dye-Thome-Kong-Crede-Bobby-MacD-Thornton are farrr from getting anywhere close to an F.

 

You're right. I'm just extremely pissed off and bitter that we didn't atleast get in.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but some of you are being a little easy on BA. If you're looking at his season as a whole, as this is, and not grading on future ability, he doesn't deserve much above a D.

Okay. And they'll agree with me and tell me that insanely good pitching wins championships. Not "good team baseball."
