So in "My Screw Up", at one point did Ben die? Was he dead the entire episode and Cox was saying his son's party in place of the funeral?

McGinley proves how good he is in that episode.

pretty sure he's dead the entire episode because you never see anyone else interact w/ him except cox.

i think he dies during the episode; everyone interacts with him when he first arrives, like with JD falling in the bush and whatnot

he most likely dies while Dr Cox is away and then slips into his depression

I figured it was in the middle. Maybe after he tells Ben that he should of seen a doctor in the past 2 years or something.

Yeah, you're right. He was alive at the beginning. And it's really subtle, but he mentions the camera stuff from his first appearance.

"Still doing that crazy camera thing?"

"'Til the day I die."

If you notice, he doesn't have it on when Cox comes back to the hospital.

When Cox comes back, JD meets him when he first walks in. JD was supposed to be giving Ben all kinds of tests while Cox is bailing the clown out of jail after he got his DUI. Anyway JD meets him at the door and says '20 minutes after you left he went into cardiac arrest.' We are lead to believe that JD is talking about the old man from the beginning of the episode and Cox responds as such. I do believe it was Ben who went into cardiac arrest and that is when he dies.

Probably the best episode they've aired yet. It shows just how great of an actor John C. McGinley is and makes you wonder why he doesn't get more major roles in movies.

Good catch!

Scrubs is a near lock for a seventh and final season, and the best news about this is the final line of this article:

Lawrence also says that the show would not continue without star Zach Braff, but he "feels pretty good" that Braff is on board for a seventh and final season.

Sure...NBC is pleased at how the show is doing.....so i guess that means we don't have to worry about it being jerked around the schedule for the next 2 years. i hate when networks do that to shows....pick a day and leave it alone

Outstanding, this way they know going in that the 7th is the final season so they can base the story around it being the finale and we can actually get a good final episode unlike some shows that just get jerked around and don't get a proper send off.

I'm pumped; tonight's the Scrubs Musical episode. :headbang

Zach Braff's plug on his blog for the show:

The Scrubs Musical:

I am not bulls***ting you when I tell you this might be the best ½ hour of television you will see this year. I know it’s weird for me to say that, since I’m in it, but I am just one part of it. The music, the dancing, the comedy writing, the emotion and drama at the end… it’s really good. Please watch TONIGHT: Thursday, January 18th at 9pm eastern/pacific. Call the neighbors, call your lover, put the dog on your lap, grab some chips, put the Jenga game on hold and enjoy.

Wouldn't it seem about right for the to kill a cast member off tonight? It just seems like every time they do a gimmicky type episode it ends in a lot of drama like killing off the Cheers writer in the Sitcom episode.

Nah, I bet it's later in the season, they've put a lot on the viewers' plate early in the season for them to have that happen tonight IMO.

It should be phenomenal.

GUY LOVE

That was f***ing money, definitely one of my favorites now. I thought maintaining song was going to make this hard to have a storyline and everything.

Very excellent. I can't wait to watch that one again.

I loved it, the poo song was brilliant, as was guy love. Great episode.

They really did a great job with it.

Did anyone see the musical episode of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" when it was on?

Didn't think all the songs would be as catchy as they were. Great episode.

Didn't understand while having a brain aneurysm would make you hear people sing, but I think it is just symbolic or a metaphor.

Seriously one of the best episodes ever. Well written, and well researched with the bits they took out of other musicals.

Also one the best episodes of a series! I can watch that over and over again.

This was one the best Scrubs, too. Unlike Buffy, which had great songs written by series creator Joss Whedon, Scrubs went out and got the Tony Award winning composers of "Avenue Q" ("The Internet is for Porn" fame)

Maybe "Cop Rock" was just ahead of it's time

:P

actually..it a real medical condition. Lord knows what the exact name of the condition is, but it's real. I'll dig and see if i can find out what it's called

"Guy Love" was an incredible song.
