My guess is a deal with the Mets.

 

Right now they're waiting for the Zito negotiations to finish, and if the Mets don't end up with him, or trade with a team like the A's, they come back to the Sox looking for Javy Vazquez.

Williams also mentioned a deal on a "larger scale" materializing Wednesday, which might "turn out to go full circle and come back to us."

That's actually a really solid guess. In regards to the deal on a larger scale that materialized, he may be referring to some sort of deal of Garcia for Milledge and Humber that was discussed. The Mets may have decided that was too stiff a price to pay and approached the A's, where Billy Beane asked for Milledge, Humber, AND Pelfrey for Harden. Omar finds this deal even more repugnant and returns to negotiations with KW, thus, his statement of the deal "coming full circle."
