Rats in NY Taco Bell / KFC

Featured Replies

Has anyone else seen this video they've been showing this morning?

Apparently someone walked by a KFC / Taco Bell this morning in NY and saw a bunch of rats running around - like 6 or more of them. They called the news to come get some video of it. It's been all over the news shows this morning. I've seen it on CNBC of all places. Nasty, nasty stuff!!

I saw the same report. I haven't ate at a Taco Bell since the food poisoning stuff, and I don't think that will change anytime soon.

I thought rat was in the taco meat? Makes sense to me.

Is this really that abnormal? It's gross and all, and I'm glad I don't have to see it, but I'm sure most restaurants have intermittent problems with rodents. Then again I'm a Taco Bell apologist.

When I was in NYC this summer, a rat the size of a small child nearly ran over my foot near the Hudson River.

Well because NYC puts their garbage out every night right on the street, the city reeks of sewage every night, I am not surprised by the rat problem.

No, it was KFC that breaded and deep fried a rat.

They also changed to KFC because they don't use real chicken meat. ;)

Not only in NYC which is overrun by rats, but if anyone eats up in Lincoln Park or lakeview frequently, the area is the one of the heaviest infestation of rats in the state. There is a huge problem with rats in populated areas in chicago and im sure that includes the basement of restaurants that are much nicer than Taco Bell.

In addition, NYC is a rat paradise because they just toss their trash out on the streets in piles.

I've heard many times that the worst thing you could put in your system, as far as the fast food joints are concerned, is the "taco meat" at Taco Bell. That alone scares me more than any furry little creatures can.

Yeah, I try to stay away from it, but I have it everyonce in awhile (i.e. every year or two).

So the spokes person for YUM Brands issues a release talking about how important food safety and health. The dude is like 250 pounds. :bang

KFC's probably the worst fast food "food" you can have (well at least down here). That stuff just looks disgusting as well.

:lolhitting

When I was in the American Airlines terminal at LaGuardia in January, there were 3 or 4 rats running around under the seats. Rats and NYC go together.

They do. And it's not just limited to Taco Bell's and low rank places.
