Pods seems better in the outfield so far. A little more confidenct in his movement and jumps.

If these guys can't hit good pitching, we're in a lot of trouble. We can't afford to lose 10 of 12 games against C.C. and Santana this year.

 

I agree, but right now Podsednik is our highest average hitter. That should tell you some guys (Thome, Dye) are off to slow starts. I still think if our pitching shows something (last two games have been promising) we'll be in there at the end.

Dye and Thome are usually slow starters so I am not worried about them

I don't know about the forkball. But I do know that he's nibbling. Not good.

He's not fooling anyone with that forkball. He's slowing up his wind-up on that pitch. I'm very concerned about his stuff. What has caused such a drastic change from last year at this time to now?

He's finishing every delivery differently. I know he's used different release points, but he seems all over the place with his finishes -- standing up, tilting to the left -- just looks like he's searching for it out there.
