April 25, 200718 yr Has anyone else notice Sandy Alomar in our dugout? Did I miss something... is he on the coaching staff now?
April 25, 200718 yr I think there's a shot he could be interested in being a catcher and my guess is the club prefers him to Molina. But I also know the Sox have told him he could coach (at least in the past) in the org so maybe they are about to announce something. Either way he's more than welcome in the dugout because he's a great baseball guy.

I'm surprised the Mets would allow him to sit in another ML team's dugout. Did they release him?
April 25, 200718 yr Author Sorry... I don't know who it is in the dugout that I am confusing him with. This thread can be deleted.

The Mets' AAA team is the New Orleans Zephyrs and he's on that roster along with another aging old ML catcher whose name escapes me.

My mistake. They must have been playing the Isotopes yesterday then. Anyway, as of yesterday he was playing for the Mets AAA affiliate, so I would doubt that it was Sandy who was in the Sox' dugout tonight. Edited April 25, 200718 yr by South Side Fireworks Man
