Hmm, I don't buy that beef hormone thing. I live out in the East Coast now, and back home I was shorter than most of my guy friends, but here I seem to tower over them. I think a more likely reason people are taller in the midwest is because our ancesters were taller (Germans, Scandanavians, etc).
