Some people love Rowand. Get over it. Some people would like him back. Get over it.

I get that they love him....I don't mind the guy myself....

But for f***s sake, his "grinderness' is not going to make the bullpen not blow games, its not going to make this offense hit, nor will it make this team fundamentally sound....

I am not saying I don't want him back, but he is FAR FROM THE CURE!!!

The fact that people constantly fall back on the, "we need Aaron Rowand back" argument as an answer for the suckage we have seen in 2007 makes me ill. I am 100% positive that I am not the only one.

A better argument might be that the Phils are at least fun to watch with him. The Sox are now unbearable without him.

BTW, I wonder what Damaso's numbers are with the Pirates...

Yeah because when I go to a Phillies game the one player I can't wait to see is Aaron Rowand! f*** Ryan Howard, Chase Utley, Jimmy Rollins, Shane Victorino, Michael Bourne and Cole Hamels (all of whom are more exciting than ANYONE on the Sox, with the exception of Thome perhaps) there's no entertainment value there.

Yeah Aaron Rowand is what makes the Phillies an exciting ballclub. What part of Aaron Rowand's game is fun to watch? If I want to see a guy run into a wall at full speed I'll save the $30 it would cost me to see a Phillies game and go catch Brian Simmons at the Lebanon, PA Home Depot instead.

I am not saying I don't want him back, but he is FAR FROM THE CURE!!!

Well said. I can't argue with that.

But I kind of like the guy and at least this season, he, Frank and Maggs would all

be looking good in White Sox jerseys.

I said "this season." I realize we won it all 2 years ago.

Aaron Rowand isn't going to solve the problems, which is what the poster was suggesting.

Aaron Rowand would solve everything and you know it.

After all, he IS the Jack Bauer/Chuck Norris of baseball, isn't he? His ass-pats have mystical powers to help hitters break slumps and become good again. Borrow just a small sample of his chew and you will drop runs off of your ERA. A simple hunting trip with him will make you remember how to be fundamentally sound, and not make stupid decisions. A-Row, yes, A-Row...he can do all of that.... :)
