i think the game is really being played before the offical game through the end of next month.

Anyone ever been to The Trop? I have, and I didn't think it was as bad as people make it sound.

I've been to a bunch of games at the Trop. Not my preferred place to see a game for sure, but you are right, not naerly as bad as it's made out to be.

 

I'm supposed to go to the game Thursday, but between the 3 hour drive each way, work stuff piling up, and the Sox playing like dookey I don't know if I'll make it.

Lets try to get out of the 5th inning today, John.

 

If he struggles today, I could see him moving to the bullpen and Floyd getting called up.

Someone hasn't been paying much attention to the ol' D-Rays this year... they are actually fun to watch. if only bj were healthy!

they wont move danks to the bullpen in a season like this. he'll be in the mlb rotation for the season.

Oh trust me, I hate the idea. However, Ozzie has been making comments recently about Danks that makes me wonder how much longer they'll let him go out there and throw 100 pitches in 5 innings before making a change.

I'd vastly rather him be sent down if they're desperate to make a change.

 

But really, if he's already in the big leagues, and we've already written off the season, what's the harm in letting him work out his control problem next to Cooper? The worst part of that idea IMO might be that it could be rushing Floyd back to the big leagues when he's just finding himself a rhythm at AAA while at the same time screwing with Danks' confidence. And hell, I still hate the idea of putting a starter like Danks in the pen in general.

I had a big problem with them not letting him try and qualify for a win last game. I understood the decision against the Phillies to pull him one out before qualifying, but I was more annoyed last game when he was around 89 pitches. What's the harm in seeing if he has the guts to get a big out to get to the plateau?

You HAVE to make it to the game. A true Sox fan will go to any game he/she can get to even if the team sucks at the time.

I just want to say that I think any of us that have been coming to this place consistently over the years are clearly Sox fans. No reason to think one of us is any better than the other.
