Aardsma back to AAA

Featured Replies

This opens up a spot for Gavin Floyd to come up and start in the double header on Friday.

GOOD RIDDANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No need to see him again in 2007! :chair

Gavin on Friday, eh? First game I've looked forward to in a long, long time.

He was so bad, you wonder how these guys even advance this far.

There are a lot of bad pitchers out there, and Aardsma is one of the worst.

GAVIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the way this season has gone...

I am now starting to think Dewon Day will come back up and Masset will get the start.

Please trade Contreras and bring up Floyd and Wassermann.

Good to see him gone. We need to get rid of our under performing players also via trade or by releasing them. We dont have anything to play for this season. We need to find a reason for this lost season.

We need our young guys to play. Who cares what numbers they have, we never know how they will perform once given a chance. We need to start trading now.

Let's see what Gavin can do, Vasquez that LH pitcher in AAA. Sweeney to play everyday. Give Brian another shot. Time to trade Mack, Contreras and company.

please dont show your face ever again aardsma

Yeah... but who in their right minds would want Contreras and that salary? Maybe if we packaged him with another player + cash, we could get something decent.

Wasserman isn't the answer. I'm curious to see what Carlos Vazquez has though.

I for one, look forward to every game, just to see some of our young talent. , especially in josh fields. Future outfielder I hope.

Lately, Aardsma had a batting practice fastball with no movement. And he couldn't get a breaking ball over for a strike--ot when he did, it rollled up there. It was tough to see. Especially after how good he looked at the beginning of the year.

At least Neal Cotts has been just as bad.

Just curious... why not? Seems like the guy has been lights out at every level he has pitched at from low A ball up to AAA, and we could use him in Aardsma's spot. If we are going to experiment with the spot anyway, why not Ehren?

Vazquez is on the 40-man while Wassermann is not. That being said, calling up Vazquez would be asinine. He's walked 22 batters in 33.1 innings in Charlotte and had an ERA of 5 last month. It doesn't matter anyways since Day seems to be healthy once again and will probably be activated from the DL on Saturday after Gavin pitches his part of the doubleheader.

OK, that makes sense (about the 40-man). Unless the 40-man is reduced during the upcoming flurry of transactions.

Exactly. I'm grateful for his effort during the championship season, but he is a wreck on the mound.

His style of pitching is maddeningly bad when he's not on.

He may be washed up.

Wasserman can be a ROOGY though!

Is it just me, but does Wasserman have Minnesote Twins written all over him?

I can think of a quick way to clear 2 spots on the 40 man roster. Think "Gimpy" and "Grindy" then DFA.

I'll never understand how this guy pulled off that month of April. He looked like trash in Spring Training, and trash from May on. April was just bizarre. Howver Carlos Vasquez might make that Cotts/Aardsma trade worth it one day.

That would make too much sense, but this organization is quite stubborn as we all know. Hell, you could kick Bukvich, Phillips and Reynoso off the 40-man and there wouldn't be much lost either.

You know you suck when Ryan Bukvich is better then you.

Seriously, has anyone picked up what changed for Aardsma from April to June?
