Floyd back to AAA

Featured Replies

Floyd was sent down to AAA, which means there won't be a trade made in the immediate future. I'm not sure who was promoted.

interesting. I wonder if he won't be back to spell Danks later in the season, once his pitch count gets up there.

It may not be a recall - may be an activation from DL.

Pods and Erstad aren't ready to come off. It better not be Aardsma again.

odds on Sisco getting called back up? either him or Vazquez.

Gio?

I hope its Vasquez or Richar.

My prediction is either Aardsma or Richar.

Gio?

I don't think the Sox really want to bring Gio up any time soon and just let him further develop where he's at. No sense rushing him. God I hope it's not Aardsma...or Sisco. I think Richar.

Cant rule out a trade bringing a major leage outfielder here

And with the ASG, if a trade did happen yesterday or today, we won't hear about it until tomorrow.

GAAAAvin Floyd. AAAA pitcher.

Maybe they are sending him down so that he can pitch on his regular schedule like the Reds are doing with Homer Bailey. Since he wouldn't have pitched for at least days, maybe they are just trying to keep him on schedule and get an extra start in.

With as bad as the bullpen has been, a pitcher has to take the roster spot, no? I think Nick Masset being on the roster the entire year is a magic trick of proportions we have never seen before.

Aaron Rowand for Gio.

Floyd pitched great in his first start up here  It's too bad he's being sent down

I hope you're kidding.

It will not be Sisco coming back up. They have moved him into a starters role and the longest he's gone I believe is 4 innings.

Are you referring to Floyd Bannister?

well no trade on the horizon, oh well

Damn, I was hoping Jose would get shipped damn soon.

Bannister had a 12.27 ERA after his first two starts with the White Sox.

I thought he was going to AAA for the all-star game anyway.

I think this is a nice KW negotiation move. He's not getting enough for one of his pitchers, so he sends Gavin back down to show that he will just keep what he has if the offer doesn't get better.

Richar has been raking in AAA and Iguchi is on the trade block... Just sayin.

Good point. That may be a move we see before the end of the year, but why move Floyd down? Just let Richar take Iguchi's spot if he is moved. KW in stealth mode.
