Last night, me and some friends were reminiscing over a few beers about wrestling when we were younger.

 

Things discussed:

-Remember when Diesel beat Backlund for the world title at the house show and it was huge news on Superstars? Why can't we be surprised more often nowadays?

 

-When PPV's were on days other than sundays, I remember going to the SummerSlam in like '94 and that was like on a Wednesday.

 

-The promos that someone like Mean Gene Okerlund would do to hype up the PPV, and would have wrestlers cutting promos about the match. That's something I think they should actually think about bringing back.

 

-Shotgun Saturday Night.

 

-Staying up late to watch ECW.

 

-How I used to be the kid with the descrambler, so my house was the PPV spot every month.

 

-When ECW "invaded" RAW when they were at the manhattan center.

 

I'm sure there was more, but it was a long night.

It was nuts, I was downstairs eating and all of the sudden I got this sixth sense and this feeling that something great had just happened.. I assume that was the very moment that Orton pinned Rhodes

All I can say about that Dweem/Orton match is: "Needs more cowbell!"

 

If they build this up good between Cody and Orton, it could be a great feud to build up two young talents. Now, here's to hoping the booking committee does it right.
