I find it interesting that so far, none of the guys KW has acquired seem to have a chance in Hell of helping the big league team next year.

Or, you know...ever.

And there goes the Sox's best looking guy.

And there goes the Sox's best looking guy.

There is always Garland to take over that role.

Remember where you were when the Jon Link era began in White Sox history.

Does anyone have a picture of this guy ? I'd like to see what he looks like since I know I'll never see him on the Southside.

I have just received word that Rowand has agreed to sign a 12 year contract with the Sox this offseason worth the 1.8 million we save by dumping Iguchi and Mackowiak.

A .265 hitter, with AVg Def.. I think Kw can muster that up.

I would hope so, as we're going to have less than that once Dye and Pods leave.

But only if they take a discount to play on the 2008 last place in the ALC team.. Right?

Was he in the California Penal League ?

Deadline's officially past. If nothing comes out soon, it looks like KW's great rebuilding/retooling effort during the 2007 season consisted of giving away two solid position players for Single A relievers that are likely to never reach the majors.

It could have been worse, no? He could have traded for Bo Bice.

Mack was in studio at the Loop yesterday afternoon. Seems like a good guy. He never really fit in here though. Some guys just don't. Oh well, good luck to him.

Suitable for framing.

He bears a striking resemblance to John Danks.

Whats the word on the guy we got back?

Nothing of note.

"I'm extremely disappointed," Mackowiak said before the White Sox played the Yankees in New York. "It hurts to go from the team you grew up watching and idolized as a kid."

I want to feel bad, but then again, he plays a game for a living.

especially since he gets to hang out in SoCal for the rest of the summer in a playoff race.

I'll trade you, asshole.

I feel bad, because we are a very old, injury riddle team one game ahead of Kansas City for Dead F Last and not only does the current team not get improved, but nothing is done for our future either.

Further, with Mack gone it means Gonzalez plays a much bigger role, a terrible recipe.

We are stocking our minor league teams. But, only two class A players in return? Oh well! How much playing time would Mack get anyway this season with us starting a bunch of starving rookies? I would have to believe Sweeney gets called up to replace Mack, but we will wait and see obviously.

Like I said, I hope the Padres decline his option and he can be brought back as as a free agent. He won't garner anywhere near the $3.25M his option was worth in free agency.

It looks like Erstad will be taking his roster spot.

No s***...playing baseball for a living...and in San Diego of all places...I'd give my left one for that.

Petco is amazing park.. The fans are a little blah though..

Padres are my Fav NL team.. and they needed a stick off the bench that can play more than one place on the field.

The 6 hour flight.. that is what would tick me off If I was Mac!
