White Sox vs. Tigers, 8/05/07 (W)

Tight strike-zone early on here. Floyd's had a couple of good hooks that have seemingly hit the zone but have been called for balls. I did like seeing 93 on the gun in that AB.

Could be a lack of baseball experience. When you play football in college, even if you are on the baseball team, you do miss out on a lot of playing.

Yep.

Seems like Floyd has two different curves. One that's just a big breaker and one that's more like a slurve. Good inning again, hopefully he's gaining some confidence.

4Ks in 2 innings is nice. This is the best he has looked in the bigs. Now he just needs to string these solid innings together into a solid start.

Come on Owens. Let's get a runner in from 3rd with less than 2 outs.

3 bagger for Richar.

He runs like a girl. Haha.

The last couple days have been fun...today is even fun. Sox won't be in post-season, but I like seeing them play better and Floyd (so far, fingers crossed) has looked like a bonafide big leaguer in his first two innings. Keep it up.

LOL. I would like to see a side-by-side shot of him and Casey running.

At least he has some pretty decent speed though.

Did anyone hear the exchange last night with Hawk and DJ, when DJ made a comment about Casey running. Hawk got all bent out of shape, saying he was ashamed of DJ. LOL

All we needed was a Sac Fly there Big Jim. Damn..

That's how I remember the 07 sox..

Is it really that hard to get a sac fly?

Wow...

Is this Palanco guy Ted Williams reincarnated?

Its hard to see why Polanco is one of my favorite hitters in the league. All of our non power types should watch him, and how he approaches the plate and try to be him.

Wow...

That was a real nice pitch there.

The one Casey turned into?

I just noticed Casey has only hit 19 homers since 2004. Pretty pathetic for a first baseman.

The curve that Polanco poked.

Wow Gavin...

WHO ARE YOU SIR?

Pretty simple here, he's getting that nasty breaking ball over and because of it he's able to throw his heater by guys.

Ok, who is this guy on the mound and what have they done with Gavin Floyd?

Dude is looking damn sweet today.

Wow, that was a silly curveball for strike two. Is it me or does Floyd seem a little more comfortable/relaxed on the mound? The last start, he actually looked scared.
