Way to keep your poise there Gavin, after getting in a bit of a jam and bringing up the League's best hitter this season and striking him out for the second time.

I'd take THIS Gavin over Count any day.

When you have a guy getting a good 12-6 curve over then he can later on use his four seamer high to either set up the pitch, or get someone cheating on the curve to commit for strike 3. So far so good for Gavin. Keep pitching in, and throwing strikes.

I just noticed Casey has only hit 19 homers since 2004. Pretty pathetic for a first baseman.

24 in '04. Then, 9, 8, and 2 so far... Not really ever been a power hitter.

Keep pitching in.

Huge key in my view. I didn't see that much in his previous games. I see it today.

Yea, but he is the Designated Hitter today. ;)

That's even worse.

Little bit early on that jump.

definitely an interesting day for Fields...

At least this team is now interesting to watch!

Any reason our hottest hitter, Dye, is out of this game? Just a scheduled day off or what? Seems to me we need to run him out there as well as he is swining the bat.

This OF we have is certainly punch-and-judy stuff.

ozzie wanted to have his wet dream OF all together.

Yea, and if we string all the balls they hit together we could get a fly ball to the warning track out of it.

Probably wanted to give Dye a day off, especially considering the wet conditions. I'm glad I get to see Richar, Fields, and Owens play plus Floyd start.

No, then AGon would be in CF with Darin DH'ing.

Oh and I love how Floyd is actually throwing in. I still would like to see him work a bit down in the zone before going up to his high heater (I think it would make it better).

Thank you Erstad...you should have made that play cause that was damn near impossible for Richar. Defense continues to f***ing suck for Floyd today.

Erstad sucks.

Damn -- where the hell was Erstad?

Grinderstad should of made that play, but would rather have the rookie try to make the over the shoulder attempt. Nice job brokenstad.

Gavin is showing some f***in poise today.

SICK SICK SICK SICK RICHAR WITH THE QUICK TURN

Andy woulda made that play in RF.

NICE DP.

f***....I love having a shortstops arm at 2nd. Mix that with Iguchi's not so strong arm and wow...nice turn.

I haven't been overly pleased with a few calls by the ump...pitches look good...sweet play by Richar.
