August 11, 200718 yr I love Ankiel so much. How could you not root for this guy after what he has gone through? I loved having him here in Memphis to watch, but it was about damn time they called him up. This guy is just a flat out baseball player. I mean, how many guys have started as both a pitcher and an OF in the big leagues?

August 12, 200718 yr Ankiel appears done for the day, as he made the last out of the 7th and it's 10-2 Cardinals. He went 1 for 4 with a double, run scored, and drew a walk. Off day by his standards lately, but the Cards looking good and he still had a nice game.

August 13, 200718 yr Everytime I see an article with Ankiel in it, I think... I hope the Sox do this with Wes Whisler, and do it before he wastes too much more time pitching.
