August 18, 200718 yr Well, time to try something new. We can use this thread to complain about everything this near .500 team is doing. FWIW, they're going to have to face Mr. Scoreless, Brandon Webb, next week, while the Cubs will miss him.
August 18, 200718 yr QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Aug 17, 2007 -> 06:29 PM) Hate only counts when it's genuine. I'm pretty d*mn pissed at that team personally...
August 18, 200718 yr Author QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Aug 18, 2007 -> 01:29 AM) Hate only counts when it's genuine. I can't stand the team. Estrada has been just brutal at the plate and in the field. Their starting pitching is brutal, and Villanueva seems to lose two games a week. Like I said in the other thread, their defense is the worst I've seen in a long time. They're going to end up a good 6 or 7 games back by the end of the season.
August 18, 200718 yr are the brewers going to take capuano out of the rotation? 0 wins in his last 15 starts thats danny wright territory
August 18, 200718 yr Author QUOTE(lord chas @ Aug 18, 2007 -> 01:34 AM) are the brewers going to take capuano out of the rotation? 0 wins in his last 15 starts thats danny wright territory One more start for him to pick it up. They face Harang though, and Harang went 10 innings last time vs them. 4-1 Reds now.
August 18, 200718 yr Author It's times like this that Doug Melvin should be proud he traded 3 strong pitching prospects for a middle reliever. Hopefully the Cardinals can win 2 of the next 3 vs the Cubs.
August 18, 200718 yr This Brewers team looks suspiciously like the White Sox of June. Their pitching sucks a fat one and their offense is pretty much based on the mythical solo homerun. Even better, they are playing like they have already quit. I believe members of the team decided to shave their heads in order to better give access to their rotting hopes to the maggots.
August 18, 200718 yr Author QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Aug 18, 2007 -> 02:25 AM) This Brewers team looks suspiciously like the White Sox of June. I believe members of the team decided to shave their heads in order to better give access to their rotting hopes to the maggots. Estrada's body language on the field is so bad. They'd be better off releasing him and just playing Miller and some other scrub.
August 18, 200718 yr QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 17, 2007 -> 09:31 PM) Estrada's body language on the field is so bad. They'd be better off releasing him and just playing Miller and some other scrub. Estrada has been such a disappointment, his conduct reminds of a catcher that the Cubs dumped a few weeks ago. And after the Cubs dumped that albatross, they got better ... for a while.
August 18, 200718 yr Author Brewers got the tying run to the plate, but Braun flew out deep and then Jenkins hit a rocket right at Griffey Jr.
August 18, 200718 yr Come on Yost, get some strip tease cut out of Uecker or something, loosen your team up I think STL will prevail, which is sad with that pitching
August 19, 200718 yr The Brewers haven't got a win out of their 1-2-3 starters in 48 games. It just blows my mind that they are still as close as they are to first place.
August 19, 200718 yr Well the brewers seem to have awakened from their offensive slumber party for one nightb But then again, any offense looks impotent when it is trying to give run support to gas cans like Suppan and Crapuano.
August 19, 200718 yr Author Capuano is such a loser....how many 5 run leads can one team blow in a season?
August 19, 200718 yr Author Ah Scott Linebrink...good thing you sucked this year so KW won't give you 5 mil a year this offseason.
August 19, 200718 yr Personally I don't want to see the Brewers win. They still haven't had a winning season since 1992. Go Cards!
August 19, 200718 yr Author Cubs are going to win the division by more than 5 games. I'm of the opinion that I want to see them playing the Mets in the first round. That's a great offensive team if Alou/Beltran are healthy.
August 19, 200718 yr Author Congrats to the Brewers and Capuano for losing 16 straight games in which he started.
August 19, 200718 yr are the brewers going to take capuano out of the rotation? 0 wins in his last 15 starts thats danny wright territory make it 16. Didn't he get an extension be fore this season as well?
August 19, 200718 yr Ahhh ... this is the Brewers choking away leads in games and a 7 game lead in the division.
