I said it last year, and I will say it again. Danks needs to use his change more. His change is a legitimate out pitch. He should get fastball strike one, then dig in with cutters making him foul the ball off, then go to the change away when he gets 2 strikes.

Nice to see Johnny settle down...

Pop 'em up Joe in full affect.

Uribe and Owens with hits.

This team seems to continue to struggle stringing things together. OC with a first pitch bunt pop out.........

Wilfredo Ledezma owns the Chicago White Sox.

Anyone know where we rank this ST in terms of batting average and home runs?

We are 15th in BA with a .283 average, and 26th in homers with 14.

We are 6th in doubles though with 50.

6th in doubles, 7th in triples. Those are good signs. But only 15th in OBP isn't great.

Not bad, an increase in double will certainly help this team. I don't expect us to have a high OBP team, as only Thome and Swisher are above league average at their position.

The problem is though, given the kind of quality we have in the upper levels of our organization after this offseason's trades...how do those numbers get slanted by the fact that when we take out our regulars, we put in guys who will never make the big leagues, while other teams are putting in much better talent?

And while we're at it...Joe Crede isn't helping.

exactly...i would bet guys like Rouse, and even Bourgois dont get half as many ABs in other camps that they have gotten here...instead they go to guys with real upside like evan longoria, jay bruce, etc

Joe Crede-singlehandedly killing our team stats.

Danks appeared to settle down and really open up his repertoire after the 1st.

Wassermann comes in and K's both guys he faces.

Sorry, I just can't get over that MacDougal is going to get a job over Wassermann. Huge mistake IMO.
