Well, looks like he got HBP actually - so probably just got a little bruised up.

And let's keep in mind...Ubaldo Jiminez is on the mound for Colorado. He has a moderately good arm.

where was he hit? As long as it wasn't the hand he should be OK

Thats what makes Ramirez's first inning jack more impressive. He most likely caught up with some serious heat.

Looked like the right hand

Another AB showcasing Ramirez's bat speed, and another hit.

scratch that -- they're saying elbow

that's a little worrysome. What is it with Sox 3b and HBP?

Yes. He fought off several outside mid 90's fastballs, laid off a few breaking balls then straight wristed a high inside fastball out of the park.

Right forearm, it was on the meat of the arm. Bruise, nothing more.

sounds a lot better.

Ubaldo Jiménez has some heat, but he need's to learn some control.

What inning is it?

Bottom of the 2nd! No outs, tied at 4

toby hall is just a bad baseball player

Is Masset getting shelled or are the miscues by Toby Hall hurting him that much?

I'd much rather Wasserman and MacDougal made the bullpen than Masset.

Every ball is getting hit hard. Some of the outs that have been made were rockets hit right at our fielders.

Masset sucks at baseball. He wasn't even average in the minors. Why this management loves him so much is beyond me. Way beyond me.

Very impressed with Ramirez. Heck, he took a 3-2 offspeed pitch for ball four. That's better than most of our veterans.

Lexi on base every time so far. 2-2, and just drew a walk. Who says he isn't patient!

Toby Hall batting an impressive .000

I wonder if one of the younger catchers could hit better than that during the season.

Who is going to handle middle relief, be the swing man and eat up all the garbage innings?

I don't know why Hall just didn't undergo surgery last June when it was obvious we weren't in contention. He'd atleast be back around now, or somewhere close without a gimp shoulder.
