Yeah, the one you saw is probably the one to Cabrera that was just filthy.

The good thing about Floyd's curveball was that when he missed with it he missed so badly (high and inside) that the hitters couldn't do anything with it.

If he can continue to throw that pitch for a strike, along with that nasty changeup he seemed to be featuring today, he's going to be extremely difficult to hit.

They showed a few and it was impressive. When I saw he walked 4 I figured he must have been a bit wild.

If I were you I would go browse the MLB.com and ESPN.com highlights. There is one of Floyd striking out Miguel Cabrera on a curveball that is about as sick as they come. Miggy buckled his knees and just started walking to the dugout. He had that curveball all day long.

I saw that highlight on sports center last night, and that curve was sick. But I was pissed, I was hoping they'd show more highlights, but they only showed like 2.

Well they needed that extra time to show all of the rain delays in the Boston/New york game. No ESPN show is complete without showing Papelbon warming up 16 times. So they just cut out some of that worthless almost-nohitter nonsense and complete domination of the tigers and inserted Papelbon getting up 4 times in 2 hours.

yep, what I was thinking. They even showed the grounds crew taking off the damn tarp.

I just watched the mlb.com highlights of Floyd, and damn. It would be a huge relief for us to see him pitch like this for the rest of the season.

His fastball was ranging from 90-93 MPH, but staying mostly around 90 MPH. His curveball, what more can you say about it, it dropped about 18 inches, but the pitch that was totally messing people up was his changeup. He got Maggs out on it twice, he was throwing it on full counts, 1-2 counts, it didnt matter.

And if Floyd can stay competitive and keep himself in games, I think we are just scratching the surface.
