If one wants to insure the best possible defense for a no-hitter, BA over Swisher isn't even a close call or disrupts the phantom "jinx" at all. Ozzie got booed when he came out to pull Gavin and deservedly so. He didn't do his best to help out Floyd.

Is this your first baseball game or something? He got booed because he was taking Gavin out, it had nothing to do with the defense.

And they also called Floyd "Gavan Smith" after the last out, so there ya go.

Maybe the batter would have seen Anderson's tall frame and pushed a single over Cabrera's head.

I guess Oz will get ripped in the media again for not putting in Anderson even after we finally win a game. I still think it would be bush league to take out our morale boosting starting center fielder who was out there for the first eight innings of the no no.

I also still say you can't guarantee me the ball would have been hit in the same spot if Anderson was in the game.
