just the quality of the atbats, missing cookies, lots of pop ups

I hear you, but that seems to be the line on a lot of the hitters and not just Carlos. Just a bad stretch, but at least he made contact and got it far enough out there for the score. I want to see that replay of Alexei's slide at home.

*cough*

God bless you, now answer Wolf's question how deep was the Quentin fly ball?

i didn't say it was just carlos, but i really dont wanna see him fall into the crap that the rest of our hitters are mired in.

shallow right. fransisco running in the whole way

Great stat for CQ: with a runner on third and less than two out, CQ has scored the guy 13 of 16 times this season.

It looks like ole Jake is getting some hometown love on a couple of those calls in the strike zone

Alright Gavin. Nice and easy 1-2-3 inning.

It was shallow right field. Alexei was the only one that could of tried to score on it.

92 pitches through 5 for Westbrook.

Now that's impressive. Just curious, what's OC's stats?

Off speed stuff got Dye and that's another common theme with our people when they have 2 strikes on them

With a 100 pitch count limit, and Thome leading off, I imagine we will be seeing Perez to start the 6th.

The fact Alexei scored on such a shallow ball underlines the speed factor once again. We didn't really do anything that inning...a walk, a hit, a swinging bunt, a short fly ball, but because we had speed on the bases were able to get the lead. I loved that inning.

Now lets see Gav keep the hammer down.

true, but it was also one of those plays where a bigger runner probably would've plowed martinez.

Anybody got a pitch count on Gavin?

Check out Fathom's sig for the answer to that. They're pretty underwhelming.

4 innings against Cleveland's "2nd worst ERA in the bigs" bullpen is not a bad thing.

so the Indians DFA'ed Jorge Julio...I cant believe teams still pay that guy money to pitch in the majors...

Gamecast has him at 74 as of the 2 out double.

With the off day Monday, Floyd should be able to go over 110 pitches if need be.
