4 guys came to the plate = 9 pitches

Ugh.

Thats the way to help keep a starter in the game

This is shaping up to be either an efficient victory -- just enough home runs, good defense, good pitching.

Or it is shaping up as a dramatic loss late.

We've had some bad at bats with two outs and men on and Cubs are within reach for late dramatics.

Does someone have a link to that video of Lilly throwing his glove that just makes me laugh repeatedly.

I'd like to get a 2 out hit with RISP today guys. Think we have had 3 shots in 4 innings.

Yep Anderson, Crede and Dye.

What is the Sox average with 2 out RISP as compared to the rest of the league?

cub took advantage of their one opportunity Sox are blowing their's.

Those "Late game dramatics" we keep seeing from the Cubs have happened against teams that don't have Linebrink, Jenks, Thor, Dotel, Logan, and Masset waiting on them.

I have one of these, not the video, though.

So, I'm thinking Danks for 7, then Liney and Jenks.

Coming in to the day the Sox are hitting .205 as a team with RISP and 2 outs. That's 26th in the league, the league averages are around .233.

That would be best case scenario, yeah.

Compare what they did to the Colorado pen and what he Sox did. For some reason late games at home treat the cubs just fine.

good AB by Derosa there, luckily Danks got him

filthy fastball from Danksy to K DeRosa. :hawk:

Joe is just a freaking vaccuum down there. If it weren't for lazy throws, his errors would be cut in half. :headbang

You know? I just realized that this game thread has the wrong date in it.

Important batter here, get him and the next inning starts with the pitcher.

true, if it was the 21st and I was at work I would be pissed

Looks like from that little weather picture that those rainclouds are going to be hovering around Wrigley again soon.
