Home runs are great. But you should hit them as a result of good hitting. Not trying to hit them.

Something we don't possess obviously.

I wish we had Carlos Pena last year...

OMG, CARLOS MARMOL!!11

Let's just leave the park now!! No one has ever hit him!

It looks like his control isn't so sharp today.

Who wouldn't? 46 HRs is a great total.

You know what's really stupid? Our hitters are swinging at that crap Marmol is throwing out of the strike zone. He's gotten one pitch over, but he has an out. Grow some god damn patience.

I would love to compare our spray chart to the cubs the twins or other teams that can hit with men on base.

Earlier in the year the Minny announcers were talking about how amazed they were on how the sox approach the batting cage time. They said, team after team comes in and does the same thing. They hit, they go oppo for a while drop a few bunts and move on. The sox looked like they are putting on a home run contest. Just seeing how far they can hit it. Well they miked AJ during batting practice today, and that pretty much was making comments on how far he could hit the ball.

Rally time?

Rally time?

:lolhitting

Contreras' ERA is still under 4 after this poor outing, surprising.

Marmol's walked two, he's right in line to load the bases for us.

We have to take advantage of this. That last pitch could have easily been strike three the way this series has gone.

OH WAIT, HERE COMES WILLIE MAYS, THE SAVIOR!!! Oh the anticipation....

We're still down 2 even if we hit a slam. We have 4 outs to work with here...

time to go back to bed

Carlos Marmol, you have lost control.

If the Cubs were in this situation right here, against our best reliever, you'd expect a grand slam.

Let's see how easily we end this inning.

One swing.. to rule them all.... Marmol looks like a piece of garbage today.

I bet Ramirez walks to set up the Thome groundout.

They got their loogy up for Thome.

Alexei line out to CF.

Watch.

Generous strike call right there. Nice help from the umpire.

Nice gift strike there by blue.

PH PABLO, PLEASE!!!!!

Hey, I have an idea...

How about we support our team instead of bashing it all the time?

Cubs fans bash the team enough as it is.

Certainly we are better than Cubs fans...aren't we?

That strike to Ramirez was ridiculously generous to a pitcher who can't even come close to the strikezone.

Last time their loogy faced someone with the bases loaded, he gave up a grand slam... we need Alexei to get on here.
