All three of those guys, just hitting normalish, is pretty damn scary.

Yeah, I was thinking today about how you take those 3, and you add them to Quentin/Dye, and then have solid guys like AJ and OC.....reasons for optimism.

Remember spring training Brian Anderson? Where did THAT guy go? Great strike zone recognition, gap power, situational hitter, RBI machine.

He seems to get too jumpy when he has 2 strikes on him.

Alexei with a nice play out in right field.

nice play ramirez

How dare DJ not mention Jimenez!

wow John is just pouring it on...and i love it...:)

5 k's for Danks.

John is dealing.

I was at the game last night, so I don't know what the mood was in here....but was anyone else getting annoyed with how long Masset was left in (especially since Thornton warming up to start the inning).

No doubt about it. Clearly its still a lineup that will have trouble manufacturing runs and will be prone to an ocassional slump, but as a whole, thats a lineup that should be able to put up a lot of runs. In fact, its much more reminiscent of the early 2000 lineups. Luckily unlike those early 2000 teams, this one has a rotation and pen.

Wow, anyone see those girls fall down right behind Quentin?

Pitch might have been high, but I can't complain about the call. It was a meatball too (high changeup, lucky for Lee Quentin wasn't expecting an off-speed pitch).

It was a strike...one of the few times I've seen CQ fooled on a 3-2 pitch all season.

Me neither...he should have crushed it.

Yes.

Just rewinded and noticed it. Ahhh, kids are so great.

Nice play by Joe.

Crede with a nice play. 2 out.

Including tonight, Sox face 3 of the best pitches in baseball in consecutive games. I would be thrilled with 2 of 3.

creep

Crede? Is that you?

On an unrelated side-note, I happened to notice the past couple few games that Dye seems to be moving a lot quicker out in RF. Am I just mistaken or has his range actually improved?

Wow, another good play by Joe.
