July 20, 200817 yr QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 06:02 AM) Well when someone who lives in the city says its starting to become respectable it makes you think maybe it shouldnt be on the best places to live in the country list. Well from the crime that there was in some parts in the city in the 90s to what it is there I think it's a pretty good statement. Respectable was in quotations because not being respectable is usually the reputation that Aurora gets.
July 20, 200817 yr Y'all notice how many are in Kap's neck of the woods? It seems that the Greater Dallas area must be pretty awesome.
July 21, 200817 yr QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 02:15 PM) Well from the crime that there was in some parts in the city in the 90s to what it is there I think it's a pretty good statement. Respectable was in quotations because not being respectable is usually the reputation that Aurora gets. I just did a job in Aurora last December and I didnt think it was bad at all, I just dont see anything that makes it stand out enough to be on the list.
July 21, 200817 yr QUOTE (Soxy @ Jul 19, 2008 -> 02:10 PM) Have the people that made that list ever been to Aurora? That's what I was wondering.
July 21, 200817 yr If they did this survey like they have done their previous years, it is more a numerical calculation then a subjective review based on visits. For example, they will count hospital beds versus residents, schools versus populaton, home values, crime statistics, etc.
July 21, 200817 yr Irvine, CA #4. I couldn't agree more too. I f***ing love Irvine. Great community, tons of parks, clean air, not horrid traffic, nice houses, awesome police force, tremendous schools. Its got it all.
July 21, 200817 yr QUOTE (Kid Gleason @ Jul 21, 2008 -> 11:59 AM) Harvard would be top 10 easily if this was for Mexico instead of the U.S.. Not sure about that.
July 21, 200817 yr QUOTE (Yoda @ Jul 21, 2008 -> 02:40 PM) Ha! There is only one location listed from Indiana and it ranked #10 Yeah. Gary's on the other list, Yoda.

July 22, 200817 yr QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 21, 2008 -> 01:41 PM) Not sure about that. Yeah...I lied...the town sucks. We do have the best friggin' Mexican restaurants in the world though. The rest of the food is crap though.
July 23, 200817 yr I never though I'd see my hometown of Aurora on this list. Even though I'm not there anymore.
July 23, 200817 yr QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Jul 22, 2008 -> 08:53 PM) I never though I'd see my hometown of Aurora on this list. Even though I'm not there anymore. Yeah. You went from above average to normal.

July 30, 200817 yr QUOTE (Texsox @ Jul 26, 2008 -> 02:39 PM) I guess we know where it will rank next year So that's what my new neighbors meant when they were saying "there goes the neighborhood!"
July 30, 200817 yr QUOTE (Kid Gleason @ Jul 22, 2008 -> 05:12 PM) Yeah...I lied...the town sucks. We do have the best friggin' Mexican restaurants in the world though. The rest of the food is crap though. Which one should I go to next time I'm in town?
