July was a big month for the middle of the Sox lineup with Jim Thome managing his second straight 1.000+ OPS month this season, Jermaine Dye flirting with 1.100, Carlos Quentin seeing a resurgence of sorts with a 9 HR month and Alexei Ramirez logged a .340+ batting average for the second month in a row. The pitching on the other hand was pretty f***ing bad, Buehrle was solid, same with Floyd who only allowed 3 HR (8 last month), Dotel held opposing batters to a .473 OPS plus he picked up a save in his only opportunity filling in for Jenks and DJ Carrasco performed admirably in his first stint in a White Sox uniform.

I'm gonna have to go with Thome and Carrasco.

I went with Floyd and Ramirez

I picked Dye and Carrasco.

Big Jim and Gavin.

Would have considered Carrasco if he could fight better than my grandmother.

Carlos & Dotel.

JD and Mark.

I went with Thome and MB. Thome had more big hits than anyone in the last month. He was clutch all of July. I also went with Buehrle because it felt like he has the best month, but it was hard to pick a pitcher to vote for. Ugh.

Dye and Floyd. Gavin's big game against the Twins gave him the slight edge over MB for me

I chose MB and Alexei, although it was a close call between him and JD.

I chose Alexie and Dotel. You can always count on those 2.

Gavin and God. Gavin had a decent month, others had slightly better numbers, but no one came up bigger than him in keeping us from getting swept by the Twinkies.

Dye and Thome had slightly better numbers than God, but frankly I thought he was the most "clutch" if there is such a thing. Led the team in HR, RBI, and runs scored for the month.

Since Dye is leading, will there be a banner change?

Quinten and Carrasco.

Looks like Dye and Buehrle are tied.

If anyone hasn't voted yet I suggest you do, Jermaine Dye is in line to become the second back to back POTM leading vote getter of the season. Buehrle needs 3 votes (with someone other than Jermaine getting the other 3) to overtake Jermaine and get himself a month long banner otherwise we probably won't see a new one until September.
