Was 2-1 going into the 9th, can't believe it- Nathan blows another for the 2nd time in a week.

The Twins losing is good news to come home to. BTW, nice countdown WSBrian.

guess which team does not want to take the lead in the AL Central?

:(

I hate west coast trips

Trust me Jim we feel the same frustration as you do.

Looks like Burnett is pitching Friday vs. NYY, Halladay on Sunday, so looks like the Twins get Burnett in game 3, but get to miss Halladay...

Dang, Halladay was going to be the starter for the first game too. They must've changed something up because 2 weeks ago that's where he landed.

the Twins will face another lefty on Tuesday. That will be 7 straight left handed starters. And pretty much this whole west coast swing has been lefty starters (Lackey and Miguel Batista in Seattle are the only 2 righties that I can think of)

its Sept 1st and in horse racing terms

DOWN THE STRETCH WE COME with our teams neck and neck

may the best team win :cheers

Sox and Twins currently fighting The Battle of Who Could Care Less http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7-jiEbWUUc

In all seriousness though, goes to show that teams with nothing to play for (Tor, Cle) can be the most dangerous and will cause pennant chasers to out-think themselves.

Is there any way Cleve could win the division?

No.

span continues to impress

wow - barajas with a great throw

terrible route for Wells gives some Twins guy a triple with no outs.

Jays up through 5, I'm in class hopefully can come home and see a 1 game division lead.

Burnett survives the leadoff triple, 2-0 going into the bottom of the 5th.

who the f*** is Matt Tolbert?? Another no-name twins minor leaguer with speed and savvy? Is there no end to this s***?

Ken Griffey III struck out with a runner on 3rd with less than 2 outs. I still for the life of me can't understand the love affair with Carlos Gomez.

Leadoff walk for Punto in the 7th...Burnett pushing 100 pitches right now

was there really any chance of punto NOT getting on base to lead off the 7th inning with the twins trailing by 2?

that ball by tolbert was ripped - better go get burnett

gaston, you idiot

Get out of this, AJ.

c'mon, one more out

s*** one more ball and they're loaded up for Mauer

he's done

Downs in to face Mauer with the bases loaded. I dont know who scares me more, Mauer or Morneau
