You absolutely can't walk Alex Cora to leadoff an inning like that, especially with the heart of their order lurking.

ellesbury is murdering the sox

Stone: I thought he would be running before. ! hilarious

Come on Jenks! Get out to this!

fortunately this is shaping up to look like the classic runs-allowed-but-save from Jenks.

Toby Hall is just horrible at the plat and not much of an arm on D,if we are gonna sacrifice offense with Hall, shouldn t he be able to throw people out?are there no catchers who fit that bill?

Why didn't we have AJP hit for him in the top of the 9th, and then just stay in the game?

I'm convinced that MVP means something different in boston.

basehit ties the game, hilarious

We survived!

fortunately this is shaping up to look like the classic runs-allowed-but-save from Jenks.

If he gets the save here that will be 16 out of 114 career saves (quick count through game log) That's hardly "classic." See Todd Jones for that.

Just a huge huge win.

merciful win

I'll say it now...Jenks ability to avoid the homer in save situations is absolutely amazing.
