Damn, Wise missed a homer by a few feet. I will give Ozzie credit for having the guts to bench Swisher.

Can't hit into a DP here, which is a plus.

JD!

JD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's a clutch double !

Jermaine with a rocket double scores 2! What do you know, some hits with RISP?

And for not choosing Owens to take his spot.

Now that was a nice hit. Nice drive. Not trying to park it with an overswing.

More of that.

John McDonough won't say this on the record, but I know for a fact that he's a White Sox fan.

He said it tonight.

And thank you on both counts...

Really, I thought he said he's a fan of both?

Nice to get a 2 spot on the board.

I missed you in chat, my bad. Doesn't look like anyone's around tonight, anyway.

Too early to pull Richard? It would be a huge blow to this team if he goes out and gives up the lead.

He did already. Said he grew up on the North side and was a Sox fan growing up and sat in the uper deck when he went to games. Rocky Wirtz also said he grew up in Cubs territory and was a Sox fan.

I'm pretty sure he said he was a White Sox fan from the North side, and he said it was his rebellious stage or something.

Yes too early but short leash.

Wish we could have gotten at least one more in that inning but oh well. I've heard a few interviews with McDonough now and after every one the only conclusion that I can come to is that he seems like a very classy guy.

You were around when I said I almost got a job working as his assistant with the Cubs, right?

Wise somehow needs to get more ABs in this stretch run. In categories of speed, defense, and just plain getting a bat on a ball -- he has Swisher beat.

Obviously not in power, but i feel we have enough in that dept.

He's awesome, the only person associated with the Cubs I liked this decade.
