I hate when we have a leadoff hit or walk and the runner never gets off first.

AJ out on the first pitch, 3 out

QUOTE (aprec32 @ Sep 11, 2008 -> 06:11 PM)
Does anyone have or can anyone get a statistic of how many times we've struck out looking? I wonder if it leads the league.

no idea, but AJ leads the team on left-handed hitting catchers who pop out to short.

Nice job by Gavin covering first.

2 quick outs for Gavin, K's rolen, Snider pops out.

3 outs as inglett grounds out.

not to speak too soon, but we're getting some stout starting pitching in september and that's a good thing.

Griffey grounds out to Scutaro, 1 down.

2 outs as swisher fouls out

I appreciate the play-by-play guys! Thanks!

Juan rips a double down the line.

GO JUAN!!!

swisher now hitting below .200 in September and heading for a career low BA this year with the sox. but hey - he's zany!

Cabrera gets a 2-0 count, then 3-1, then is retired, 3 out. Line out to Overbay.

Damn. This is quite the offensive show.

Reminds me of Game 1 of the double header............

Thats what I was thinking. With the errors especially.

Scutaro leadoff single after he took 2 strikes and then 3 balls. Gavin couldn't put him away. Sigh.

The first base umpiring has been awful tonight.

Ozzie is going to get tossed.

Sure, the team's short-handed, might as well be manager short-handed as well.

That was a really bad call, lets just get another grounder and call it an inning.

The ball almost got knocked out of his mitt.

Ask and you shall receive.

Floyd gets Wells to ground into inning ending DP.

That's honestly one of the most obvious missed calls I've ever seen. You could see Swisher's mitt recoil, and see the ball snow cone well before the runner's foot hit the bag. It was obvious the ump saw it, too, since you could see him standing RIGHT THERE in the replay. Just awful.

Found out that we aren't that bad with the strikeouts, only 919 all year, that good for 20th out of 30 teams.

They just showed it from the Umpires angle. This guy must hate Ozzie or something.
