9/16: White Sox vs Yankees, 6:05PM

Thortons inability to control his fastball is what keeps him from being an upper echelon reliever. If he could just throw more damn strikes he could be so successful.

Funny to me how every comment that has been said about Owens here has probably been said about Uribe once as well.

Thornton would be so devastating if he just had a capable offspeed pitch.

victor martinez needs to get it done here for the indians.

Owens doesn't have an absolute cannon nor is his defense even in the same area code as Uribe's.

Damn it 3-2 to all 3 hitters so far.

Yeah, but for a long time his lack of control kept him from being any kind of reliever. Ask Seattle, and thank Coop.

I don't think anyone would say "Ok, now uribe can get caught stealing" either.

Great play by Uribe!

Uribe f***ing owns.

no walks here Thornton, I don't know how Ozzie doesn't explode on these guys he should just come out and punch them in the face if they walk a guy.

And be right.

Juan Uribe is just kicking ass and taking names right now.

I sure as hell hope Juan's our starting 3B next year.......

Owens serve a valuable purpose here on Soxtalk. We need a scapegoat. Now that Uribe's been pretty good lately we have Owens to fill that void.

Cleveland blows a golden opportunity for an insurance run.

Aced!

He's so damn good! Looks like Ozzie will start Jenks in the 9th. Honestly, I'd rather see Dotel.
