Is it a big game to him though?

Not just his ex-mates but his first game of consequence in years. As he's trying to prove he still belongs in MLB. He'll be pumped.

Yup, Blackburn 0-2 at the Cell this year with an ERA of 7.20.

I'm done talking about that game until it actually happens now.

Ok, one more thing. I really like the division champion hats this year. I want one for us!

Its even more ironic that Freddy is pitching against the guy the White Sox traded him for. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Freddy as a fan, but tommorow I hope we destroy him early and get to there shaky bullpen. I want to see Farnsworth out there in the 6th! Im thinking it will be an offensive battle, just the thought of Maggs and Cabrera freak me out! Baseball wants a 1 game playoff, baseball needs a 1 game playoff!

We need a 3 game wiining streak in the worst way.

Pull Floyd tomorrow after 4 if you have to.

And put in who? Carasco?

Whoever can get a few solid innings.

Any guess on attendance tomorrow???

Any guess on attendance tomorrow???

They said that there were only 4,000 seats unsold.

I'd say only 2,000 now after today.

Actual attending people? I'd say about 28,000.

But it will be 38,000 tickets sold.

Again, all I can think is this is karma kicking me in the balls. It is everything I've wished on Cub fans, including the other team being in the playoffs. f*** :lolhitting They will win tomorrow to make losing the next day that much worse. At least that is what I'd be saying if it were the Cubs. Damn.

Which is nobody. Its Floyd for at least 7 strong or a loss

Floyd 4

Carrasco 2

Dotel 1

Linebrink 1

Jenks 1

Only guys who can get solid innings right now is Buehrle. I let Gavin get himself out of any jams if need be tomorrow because our bullpen is inept.

Floyd needs to go way more than 4. I think he needs 6 for us to have a chance. If it's less than that, count it being a loss because this team cannot get in a shootout.

Carrasco has been garbage lately and I say that in the best way possible.

Dotel is good for an inning when he's on. If he's not, he gives up HR's at a Brandon McCarty/Eric Milton clip.

Linebrink definitely should not be playing tomorrow. Everything he throws is straight and he's not close to 100%. You could tell from his last outing that he tries so hard to locate his pitches because he can't.

If there is less than a one run lead, I have no confidence in Jenks. He puts too many runners on and has been bad for all of this month.

For a win, unless Ozzie plans on using some starters tomorrow, it should be Floyd for 8, Thornton for the 9th and hopefully, let's play on Tuesday.

Pull Floyd tomorrow after 4 if you have to.

Are you being serious?? With all due respect if he goes 4 innings we are 12-2 losers. Our recipe for automatic losses has been pitching several of these bullpen hacks. The only way we are going to win tomorrow and/or Tuesday is today's victory formula, with hopefully a few more clutch hits. If we don't get the traditional quality start, better than a quality start, we are doomed. The only relievers who have a chance vs. Detroit are Thornton, Jenks and Dotel (pray we get the good Dotel). If Oz uses MacDougal, Ramirez or Carrasco I wonder if fans will storm the field and carry MacDougal, Ramirez and Carrasco back to the dugout.

His last 2 starts on short rest:

SEP 20 @KC 6.1 IP 5 ER

SEP 25 @MIN 5.2 IP 4 ER

I hear you, but Floyd is going to have to suck it up if we want to see Tuesday.

Your lineup of pitchers on paper is fine; in reality it is a blowout loss.

If Floyd only goes four, that means 5 runs.

Carrasco will give up at least 2 in two innings probably more, that's seven.

I'll say we get the good Dotel and no runs; bad Dotel is 2-3. But I'll say none.

Linebrink has been horrible, 2 more runs.

So that's nine runs and Jenks doesn't need to pitch.

My hope and I pray for (I realize Floyd probably won't do the job but I can hope).

Floyd 7 innings, 3 runs.

Thornton no runs.

Bobby no runs and a nice 7-3 win.

If Floyd goes 7 innings tomorrow (giving up less than 5 runs), I'll be shocked.

Glad I ended up going. It wasn't the festive playoff atmosphere that I keep hearing people claim it was, but no matter. Feeling good about tomorrow.
