October 3, 200817 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 11:44 PM) Don't we still have a couple decent minor leaguers we grabbed from the Red Sox? Willy Mota and Miguel Socolovich
October 3, 200817 yr Billingsley seems to have lost it this inning. 3 very deep fly balls have been hit against him.
October 3, 200817 yr QUOTE (rangercal @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 09:46 PM) Willy Mota and Miguel Socolovich I am confused again with the guy they got in Rangers deal that was not part of the Danks deal.
October 3, 200817 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 09:47 PM) Might be time to bring the bullpen in. What's the situation?
October 3, 200817 yr Fantastic outing by Billingsley. His stuff was filthy. Big out here for whoever is relieving, can't let the Cubs get back into this game.
October 3, 200817 yr QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 04:48 AM) What's the situation? 3 straight hits, 7-1, 1st and 3rd, 2 outs.
October 3, 200817 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 09:49 PM) 3 straight hits, 7-1, 1st and 3rd, 2 outs. On a cold night they should have left him in, IMHO.
October 3, 200817 yr QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 11:47 PM) I am confused again with the guy they got in Rangers deal that was not part of the Danks deal. not sure who you mean
October 3, 200817 yr QUOTE (rangercal @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 07:50 PM) not sure who you mean Probably thinking of John Lujan, who we picked up from the Rangers by trading Chris Stewart
October 3, 200817 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 09:51 PM) Probably thinking of John Lujan, who we picked up from the Rangers by trading Chris Stewart yep that's him. Long day I am losing my mind.
October 3, 200817 yr QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 03:50 AM) On a cold night they should have left him in, IMHO. Nah, they were starting to hit him hard. They're going with a 3 man rotation, so they'd have to save him for game 5.
October 3, 200817 yr So did the league just figure Fukodome out, or was he never really that good? He's worse than Nick Swisher. And that's pretty bad.
October 3, 200817 yr QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 10:55 PM) So did the league just figure Fukodome out, or was he never really that good? He's worse than Nick Swisher. And that's pretty bad. Not sure.......he was great in the first few weeks, then I didn't hear a thing from him the rest of the year.
October 3, 200817 yr Author This is NOT the same as Yankees/A's in 2001. Those first two games the Yankees lost were close and competitive. They didn't get their s*** rocked like the Cubs are.
October 3, 200817 yr QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 10:55 PM) So did the league just figure Fukodome out, or was he never really that good? He's worse than Nick Swisher. And that's pretty bad. He has never been able to adjust to the scouting report that got out there about him after a few weeks. It's not all that uncommon to see something like that happen to somebody. Somebody posted this on the Cubs board: We drop the atom bomb on them. They send us Fukudome. I think were even. Edited October 3, 200817 yr by whitesoxfan101
October 3, 200817 yr Author 8-1 Furcal coming back at the right time. Edited October 3, 200817 yr by Brian
October 3, 200817 yr This isn't even close to the same Dodger offense the Cubs saw. I tried to tell my dumbass Cub slurping friends. They know now.
October 3, 200817 yr As a white sox fan, i am just shock we made the playoffs, anything else is just bonus. These cocky cubs fans expected the world, these faces in the crowd are just amazing and make me laugh.
