I love the way Maddon used Howell and Balfour this series. He went with his best players as long as he could. I can't wait for Balfour to get busted for PEDs in the offseason though.

2 playoff appearances, 2 90+ win seasons and a world series championship in the past 3 years. Kinda hard to complain too much. I think we can really improve our young core over the offseason. Should be fun next year.

yeah me too...lower expectations now i suppose...all 3 teams that were in the AL postseason not named the white sox were really really good teams that will be tough for either of those NL teams to beat ...

 

ive said it the past 3 years, but the last game of the season always emphasizes how tough it is to win the world series, and made me appreciate 2005 so much more

 

for whatever reason it seems easier to win it all once you are in the postseason than it does to actually make it to the postseason, but you have only a 1-8 chance, whereas in the reg. season the odds to make it to the playoffs are slightly better than 1-5

yeah i was proud of the way the fans were behind the team the whole way, that place was still rocking even though we were down 4....seemed louder than at any point during the cubs series
