I wouldn't mind if the Rays won it all. You just don't go from last place to winning it all in one year. If they meet the Redsox, they'll be exposed.

I like both teams with the exception of a few players (coughBalfourcough), and would prefer some energy injected into the Series this year, anyone, but the Red Sox at this point. They're a very well-run organization, but they are very much wearing out their october welcome

I can't root for the Rays either. Call me crazy but the young guns from the Dome I don't think are that good either. Remember they and the Twins had crazy winning percentages in their s***ass domes. Boston might as well win another one so they won't be as jacked for next year.

AL wise I hope the Rays sink the Red Sox. Besides the fact that I lump Boston into the same category as the Cubs, I think the Rays might be easier for my runner up rooting interest to the Sox, Philly. I've been a Phils fan for a long time, and that was sweetened in recent years with their Sox connection. When I don't wear my Sox cap, it's the Phillies I represent.

 

I've always also liked the Dodgers (and now with Torre/Manny, even moreso) and Angels, and I've got a place in Seminole about 20 minutes from the Trop which has allowed me many Devil Ray games in years past. The only two teams in this years crop I couldn't care less about were the Sawks and Cubbies. God how I wish the Yanks could have taken that blasted team's spot...

Yeah, time to make peace with te St. Pete family I married into. Rays all the way!

 

That said. . . I have ALCS game 1 and Game 2 tickets, but it's going to be hard watching playoff baseball without the White Sox in the mix.
