November 14, 200817 yr The Bucks are going to surprise some teams this year. Mullens looks 10 times better than Koufos at this point last season. Evan Turner looks damn good.
November 14, 200817 yr QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 06:49 PM) Are you serious? My Dukies are going to destroy the Salukies. Just like the Bills are going to the AFC title game. The Salukis may very well lose, and it is very probable, but I dont think they will be destroyed.
November 14, 200817 yr QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 06:49 PM) Are you serious? My Dukies are going to destroy the Salukies. Duke bball, USC football? I'm not the only one that notices this s***, right?
November 14, 200817 yr QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 07:13 PM) Duke bball, USC football? I'm not the only one that notices this s***, right? He likes teams that have the most high school all-americans and still find a way to lose? Or that he likes programs that pay players?
November 14, 200817 yr There's really no reason I like Duke. I guess I've just always liked them? As for USC- when I was 9, I went to a USC game in LA when I was there on vacation with my family, and fell in love with everything there- the stadium, atmosphere, the FIGHT ON song, and the sea of red. Then again, nobody ever believes me and continues to call me a bandwagoner, so if you do that, no hard feelings.
November 14, 200817 yr QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 06:49 PM) Are you serious? My Dukies are going to destroy the Salukies. Destroy? Without a post presence Duke will destroy nothing but 2nd rate teams.
November 14, 200817 yr QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 06:49 PM) Are you serious? My Dukies are going to destroy the Salukies. Unless you went to Duke or maybe live in NC, cant call them your Dukies lol. Maybe if your parents went there, otherwise definite bandwagon fan.

November 14, 200817 yr QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 09:24 PM) Destroy? Without a post presence Duke will destroy nothing but 2nd rate teams. AKA SIU.
November 14, 200817 yr QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 10:45 PM) So since I've liked them since I was 8, I'm a bangwagon fan? Okay dude. In terms of college sports, yes. You only liked them in the first place because they were good. Probably explains why the other team you root for is USC in football.
November 14, 200817 yr I thought being a college fan means rooting for that school in all their sports.
November 14, 200817 yr If you did not attend the school, you don't have to cheer for all programs. If you are an alum, you better be damn cheering for all programs.
November 14, 200817 yr I root for all the programs at NIU and Illinois, but I definitely pay closer attention to the non major (sports other than basketball and football basically) programs here at NIU. I think that's natural though since it's my actual school and I know more athletes here, whereas I just have rooted for Illinois since I was a little kid. November 14, 200817 yr QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 11:26 PM) AKA SIU. LOL, you better hope Osiris has another year like he did last year.
November 14, 200817 yr so UCLA looked bad last night. Jrue Holliday only scored 5 points UConn's opener is tonight!!!
November 14, 200817 yr For about 12 years, USC couldn't beat Notre Dame. If I truly was a bandwagon fan, I could have just stopped cheering for the Trojans then. They didn't win a national title in the 1980's (but they did win Rose Bowls) so that couldn't have been a reason I just loved them. As a young kid, it was my first college game ever. I stuck with them. Now since they're good, it seems like I'm a bandwagon fan, but they weren't nearly as dominant in the 80's as they currently are.

LOL, stop defending it, They are gonna keep razzing you until you stop. Bandwagon fans cheer just as hard as born-and-bred fans
November 14, 200817 yr QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Nov 14, 2008 -> 07:27 AM) LOL, you better hope Osiris has another year like he did last year. He will, plus we've got Champ Oguchi who transferred from Oregon for his senior year after starting there for two years. Our wing play is by far the best in the conference. Right now, we just have to hope someone can step up and do an adequate job of running the point without Boo Richardson. Easier said than done though. Oh, and that was not necessarily a shot at SIU. ISU is a a second rate team as well. Screw it, It was a shot.

November 14, 200817 yr QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Nov 14, 2008 -> 08:34 AM) LOL /withholds ISU shot regarding the Porter Moser era Let's not talk about that. My first three years of college were not fun in the basketball department.
November 14, 200817 yr QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Nov 14, 2008 -> 12:02 AM) Nothing worse than someone who only cheers for the winners. Sometimes I find it hard to equate my love for my teams with someone who "chose" to be a fan.
November 14, 200817 yr QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 14, 2008 -> 09:13 AM) Sometimes I find it hard to equate my love for my teams with someone who "chose" to be a fan. I agree, which is why I don't feel the same way about the bears as I do about the Sox, Bulls, and Illinois St. Just never had the same feeling to it.
November 14, 200817 yr UCLA as always holding on by their teeth and using horrid referee decisions at home.
