South Park Does the Election

Featured Replies

The episode that aired Wednesday (less than 24 hours after the election) included exact quotes from Obama's acceptance speech as well as references to Obama's Grandmother passing away. South Park's work flow is such that they can turn around an entire episode in 6 days. No doubt the bulk of the episode was pre-done with the front portion done through the night on Tuesday-Wednesday. The episode, "About Last Night," revolves around an Ocean's 11-style plot to steal the Hope diamond.

I though the reactions were hilarious ("Woo! Yeah! Change! Everything is diffrent now! Woo!") but the rest of the episode was lame. They could have done so much more.

That was the only funny line in the whole show. That and Palin switching to a British accent.

The Oceans 11 spoof was stupid, but I loved they way they portrayed each side acting because that's exactly what I've seen on various message boards.

The "I need to know whether he partied too hard or tried to kill himself" line summarized it perfectly.

Boom Baby.

It basically summed up nicely all the facebook statuses that night.
