I dunno, it's different certainly, but it's got a earnest and real quality to it.. His lyrics are really what moves people. No questions about In the Aeroplane is one of the finest albums ever made. So, Magnum'll join a list with Dylan, Springsteen, Jon Brion, Colin Meloy and Billy Corgan of people with different voices that just work. Back to this list though. Some lesser know possibilities.

the thing is, is mangums voice is so much more jagged than Dylans. Dylans is odd, but smooth, it feels like the vinyl itself. Mangums is more violent, textured and jagged and can really hurt at points. I love NMH, but, I would never give his voice any awards.

How about 'The Twilight Singers' themselves, Greg Dulli and Mark Lanegan??

I like PJ, but let's be honest - Eddie is more of a mumbler than a singer.

 

The shocking thing is that people are mad at this vanilla list as they name singers that they know the names of.
