For the most part yes.

But to manage only 3 hits and to get shut out by a team like Rhode Island is pretty sad.

Losing is one thing but to not even show up is another.

But, midweek games can be very helpful if it allows you to beat a top team, but overall your right, they tend to mean very little. Althought its a great way to develop your young pitchers and ideally have other guys ready for the playoff push.

Yeah, they can have a moderate impact on seeding in the tourney for some mid-majors. However, like you said a lot of teams use those games to give players experience.

Stephen Strasburg is a monster. 18 k's last night.

Big 2 run walk off HR in the 12th for Miami in a 7-6 win over NCST.

In Gainesville, Florida OF/WR Riley Cooper was ejected for the 2nd time in 11 games this year for his actions in a bench clearing brawl vs Duquesne. Duquesne's pitcher threw at the head of a Florida after letting up a HR.

God I hate that b****.

FSU won 4-1 over BC. Sean Gilmartin (freshman SP) moved up to the number one spot and he continues to dominate. Hopefully he keeps it up.

Illini beat #1 LSU 3-1. I havent really followed Illini baseball too much, any idea on how good they actually are this year? I plan on going to as many home games as possible.

Another outstanding pitching performance by a Miami starter in a 4-0 win over NC State. Pitching has been pretty lights out so far this season. Going for the sweep tomorrow.

We got raped by BC. Damn it's going to be a long year.

Was Geoff Parker suppose to be good this season?

Yeah, he should be. Now I hope he doesn't start on the weekends anymore. I want to see Gilmartin, Busch, Gast for the weekend and McGee and Scantling on the weekdays, but that probably won't happen.

Miami completes the sweep of NC State 9-7. Trailed 7-0 after 3 innings but exploded for 7 in the 5th to give us an 8-7 lead before tacking on a run in the 8th.

Congrats to Illinois for taking 2 of 3 at LSU.

We lost again, haha.

Next weekend @ Virginia might be ugly.

Im really impressed with the Illini coming back off a 22-10 loss and beating LSU to take the series. That shows the team is pretty sound mentally, IMO.

We (UVA) went down and destroyed Wake in Winston-Salem. We're absolutely killing the ball after playing dink and dunk the last couple of years. Pitching should be pretty good too. FSU coming to town next weekend will be interesting.

If you guys are raking the ball it won't be interesting at all. I'm hoping for one win this weekend.

Pretty good tuesdsay matchup going on in college stations as #3 A&M will go against #6 Fullerton.

Wake has really fallen on hard times the past few years.

New rotation for us:

Tuesday: O'Dell

Wednesday: Wood

Friday: Gilmartin

Saturday: Busch

Sunday: McGee

Looks good to me except for O'Dell. I'd like to see Scantling in there instead.

Nice, Fullertons offense is unreal. They just obliterated #3 A&M 15-5 and in the last 4 games have scored 52 runs and hit 14 home runs. For anyone familiar with Titans baseball, they should know that Fullerton doesn't typically hit hr's and there freshman hitter Ramirez is unreal. The guy is a f***ing manchild. Talk about a potential top 10 pick.

5-4 win over Duke to improve to 4-0 in ACC play. Team is pitching well as expected and the offense is very clutch. Hopefully they keep improving on offense so we can be a contender as the season goes on. Defense commits errors like its a good thing though. 25% of the runs scored against us this year have been unearned.

My Titans have been on a hell of a run. Just been winnimg machines, aside from one game that they blew to #18 Oklahoma State. They are hitting hr's like its nobodies business and its kind of odd given that its Fullerton.

Speaking of home runs, Alabama has a guy named Matthes who already has 13 home runs on the season.
