I dont agree, its not like all of a sudden he lost his stuff. He has been locating well all game, got squeezed a little and his player made an error.

It just seemed like when he got to Griffey's AB last inning, he started to have his fastball tail up and over the plate (in).

Plus it's a double header, so if you can save a bullpen pitcher, it doesn't hurt to do so.

Good point, honestly never thought of that.

Made them work that inning, saw at least 11 pitches.

Liked Brian's approach that AB, but his swing is still funky.

Danks should go 7, but even he has a bad game once in a while.

Then again, maybe it's time for a Lance Broadway outing...

Let's just get this game and try to take down Felix. One thing is certain, BA will be in the line-up. It would be like sitting Brandon Allen against David Price.

Thornton with three lefties in a row...Griffey will be pinch-hit for. Johjima's out, so that's one bat off their bench.

How exactly do other teams handle these crappy pitchers. Someone is putting a beating on them.

Thornton officially in.

The Sox have 2 hits

Sweeney and Balentein are their main righties on the bench.

Think Seattle is saying the same thing about the guy who's barely pitched in 2 years?

Oh. God. No.

Wheels Thornton

yeah Sox are weird about that, they actually handle some very good pitchers well, although Lillibridge (sp?) and Owens are basically automatic outs

Edited by SoxFan562004

I'd hit Brian 4th in game 2.

Advanced scouting reports.

Beautiful pitch right there.

Wow, that was possibly the best pitch Thornton's thrown in his life. I'm not sure it gets any better than that.

I think you're right, both with hitting and pitching. Either the White Sox don't provide quality ones or the players ignore them

Goodness...that last pitch was unhittable! Hell of an inning Thornton. Let's at least get a hit so Fields can leadoff if we have to bat in the 9th.

Might the Sox actually win a game with just two hits?

I'm still trying to figure out what exactly Mike Gellinger brings to the table.
